Sandalwood Mala Necklace with Brass Sun Charm Pendent

Keeping the numerical and energetic significance of 108 beads, this mala style necklace has 108 Indian Sandalwood beads in 6mm, accented by 4mm round brass beads marking the 9th, 27th and 81st and 99th positions. The focal point is a round brass pendent, in place of the guru bead and tassel on a traditional mala. To the best of my knowledge this is a symbol of the sun - our Source of energy and life force.

It is known to cleanse and purify and to assist the mind in mediation whilst grounding the body. Unlike traditional malas, this mala is knotted from the pendent upwards on both sides. I feel this calls in the energy of the double helix, caduceus and DNA. Intertwining energy strands speaks to the union of polarity, which is the building block of life.
